USAFA vs Navy Results

We had an outstanding showing at our first boxing matches of the year. The boxing room was the most packed I had ever seen it, great job to everyone for getting the word out and supporting our boxers, the noise and support was incredible! Below are the results:

1. 120-lbs. – C3C Dean Chuva (Air Force), CS-24 Dec Huy Truong (Navy)
2. 138-lbs. – C3C Nicholas Goc, CS-31 (Air Force) Dec Jonathon Liang (Navy)
3. 150-lbs. – C3C Sean May, CS-37 (Air Force) Dec Ruben Zweiben (Navy)
4. 152-lbs. – BJ Richardson (Navy) Dec C3C Rudy Bowen, CS-16 (Air Force)

8. 195-lbs. – C2C John Quinn, CS-06 (Air Force) Dec Dan Tarpey (Navy)

It was an impressive start to the new boxing season with AFA taking 5 of 8 bouts. Many AFA boxers came out and pushed their opponents in the thin air of Colorado showing their superior conditioning and making a statement to their teammates and fans. Congratulations to C3C Nic Goc for being named the AFA boxer of the week. Nic used relentless pressure and well placed body shots to wear down his opponent ultimately giving him two standing 8-counts in the final round punctuating a great tough bout.
